Reputation Smart was born through a need to keep track of my own online reputation and my growing stable of products.
I'm not going to go into why you want to keep tabs on your online rep. Those that have a reputation to keep track of know how important this is.
I used to collect all the feeds from all the web2.0 sites that I could as well as using Google Alerts manually, one at a time, and put them into my feed reader of choice (which is Google Reader) by the way.
I got sick of doing that, so I wrote a script (using SimplePie as the backbone) to mash all the feeds based on a keyword phrase together into one single feed. I then put this single feed into my feed reader.
This saved me heaps of time and effort. So I thought why not spend a few days to make the script rugged enough for public use. And I did.
It's FREE to use for now, but that may change in future depending on how much use this tool gets.
Enjoy, Aaron Dwyer
